Our Derby Cyclist client receives over £3,000 in compensation for injuries caused when he was hit by a car on a roundabout

cycle accident wheelOur client was cycling on his bike in Derby and entered a roundabout to take the second exit.

However, a car also entered the roundabout from our cyclist’s first exit before our client had passed. Due to this, the car struck the rear of our client’s bicycle which caused him to fall off and suffer from a personal injury.

The Injuries:

Due to the incident, our client received a strained neck, severe sprain to the left hip, moderate strain to lumbar spine and psychological trauma.

How Hayward Baker Helped:

One of our Personal Injury Specialists Ria Tallack made the claim through the low value Road Traffic Accident insurer’s online portal.

The defendant’s insurer responded after studying the claim and told Ria that liability was admitted on behalf of their insured.

A medical report was provided from a General Practitioner to show that our client’s injuries were a direct result of the material accident. Six sessions of physiotherapy were then arranged for our client.

The Valuation:

Once Ria had obtained sufficient medical evidence and full details of all of our client’s losses due to the accident, she continued on to negotiate a fair settlement.

 The Resolution:

Our client’s claim was finally settled in full for £3,030.
