Our client, a serving soldier, suffered painful neck, back and chest injuries along with headaches and dizziness when his car was hit from behind at high speed by a van whilst stationary at traffic lights on the A292 near the M20 in Kent. The force of the impact shunted our client’s car forward and into collision with the vehicle in front. Our client suffered several weeks of severe symptoms. Although liability was not disputed, our legal team were unable to agree an appropriate level of compensation with the van driver’s insurers. The matter therefore went to Court to allow a Judge to decide the amount of damages our client should receive. The Judge agreed the insurers offer was too low and ordered over £7,500 should be paid, an amount significantly more than the insurers had offered. Our client was delighted with the outcome.
