Passenger in friends car suffers injuries after road traffic collision

Our client was a passenger in her friends vehicle. The vehicle was stationary when the Defendant’s vehicle suddenly shunted into the back of the Claimants vehicle, causing the Claimant’s vehicle to collide with the rear of the stationary vehicle in front.

As a result of the collision our client suffered personal injury and loss.

Our client’s injuries

How Hayward Baker Solicitors helped

Liability was not in question in this case  as our client was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident so therefore could not be held to account. We did seek medical evidence by instructing a dental Surgeon to examine our client so we could prove our client’s injuries and get a prognosis for treatment and recovery periods. It was the medical report formulated by this expert that we used to value our client’s claim for damages.

We also drafted a schedule of special damages (out of pocket expenses) to make a claim for the following:

  • Travelling expenses to and from medical appointments
  • Medical Expenses
  • Dental treatment
  • Future dental treatment

Our client received and overall  payment of  £6,600.00  for damages and special damages
