Our client was riding his bicycle along a designated cycle lane in Southampton City Centre, the Defendant drove out of a junction onto the cycle route , failed to notice our client and drove into him.
As a result of the collision our client suffered injuries.
Our Client’s Injuries:
Left shoulder pain and soft tissue injury. Moderate bruising and grazing to hands, left shoulder and left knee. Traqvel anxiety.
How Hayward Baker Helped:
One of our Personal Injury Specialists Angela Ansell made the claim through the Low Value Personal Injury Claims Portal.
After investigating our client’s claim, the defendant insurers admitted liability for the accident on behalf of their insured.
Angela obtained medical evidence to support our client’s injuries by arranging a medical appointment with a General Practitioner who formulated a report upon his injuries.
The medical reports stated that the injuries were as a result of the accident and that physiotherapy was required to help aid recovery.
The physiotherapy was arranged privately for our client and was paid for by the defendant insurers.
The medical report helped Angela to value our client’s claim for compensation which included a claim for special damages (out of pocket expenses) which consisted of travelling expenses incurred when going to medical appointments, physiotherapy and loss of earnings.
Once Angela had all the necessary medical evidence to prove that the injuries were caused by the Road Traffic Accident and had received full details of all financial losses, he negotiated with the Defendant insurer to reach a fair settlement.
Our client’s claim was ultimately settled in full by Gary for £5,700.00
