Taxi driver suffers personal injury when car collides with his vehicle on the A420
Accident Circumstances: Our client was driving his taxi e along the A420 when the defendant swerved into our client’s lane causing a collision. As a result of this collision our client suffered a personal injury.
Our Client’s Injuries: Middle and upper back pain.
What did Hayward Baker Solicitors do to help: One of our personal injury specialists Susan Burden. Susan is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives having qualified in 1994 and having more than 15 years experience of dealing exclusively with personal injury claims. Susan is also a Senior Litigator member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Susan wrote a letter of claim to the defendant blaming them for the accident because they negligently swerved into the lane in which our client was travelling; they failed to notice the presence of our client’s vehicle; they failed to steer, brake or otherwise control their vehicle so as to avoid a collision; they were driving without due care and without regard for other road users. Liability was admitted by the defendant.
We arranged for our client to see a medical expert who examined our client after which they formulated a report upon our client’s injuries and it was this report we used to prove our client’s injuries and to value the claim .
We also arranged physiotherapy which was paid for by the defendant insurers and claimed back a sum of money for travel expenses relating to the accident, Prescription charges along with other consequential losses and expenses such as phone calls and p[postage.
Resolution: Our client was awarded £3,446.45
