Warehouse operative loses tip of finger in accident at work

finger injury claimOur client was employed as a warehouse operative and was loading a curtain side lorry trailer. As our client was opening the curtain and sliding it along the rail it was stiff and very difficult to move. Our client had to push hard to get the curtain to open and whilst doing so his finger got caught in the bar  and although he was wearing protective gloves  the top of his right finger was sliced off.

Our Client’s Injuries

The top of his right ring finger was removed and the bone crushed so his finger had to be shortened.

Hayward Baker Solicitors were successful with this claim and obtained a settlement figure for our client of just over £11,000.
