Our client was working on scaffolding as part of his building job when one of the scaffold posts gave way causing our client to fall 15 foot to the ground.
Our client’s injuries
As a result of the fall our client sustained a broken heel and ankle. He also had soft tissue injuries to his left arm, right arm, back and right leg. Our client suffered panic attacks post accident.
What did Hayward Baker do to help?
We took on this claim on a No Win No Fee basis and initially the defendant (scaffold erectors) denied they were liable for the accident.
We managed to reverse the defendants denial into into liability but this took 9 months of hard work collating evidence to prove that the defendant was indeed responsible for the faulty scaffolding that caused our client’s accident.
In addition to claiming compensation for our client’s injuries we managed to claim for travelling expenses for our client to and from hospital for treatment along with a claim for medical expenses, care and assistance, loss of earnings and a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Using the medical reports formulated by the medical experts who examined our client we valued our clients claim and agreed a settlement figure with the defendants solicitors of just over £30,000.
