Company fined £250,000 after failing to prevent fall from height

A management and maintenance company has been fined £250,000 and ordered to pay costs of £1,086.20 for safety breaches after a worker fell through a flat roof on 14 September 2016. A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation revealed the incident could have easily been avoided if the company carried out the correct control measures and safe working practices.
