A construction firm has been fined £3,000 and ordered to pay costs of £5,256.45 after an employee fell through the fragile roof of a farm building on 4 February 2016, causing him serious injury. A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation revealed the incident could have been avoided if the company put in the proper controls to avoid unnecessary injuries to workers.
