A company has been fined £40,000 and ordered to pay costs of £1,599.60 after an employee was left seriously-injured while working with an industrial food mixer. A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation revealed the injuries could have easily been prevented if the company had taken the correct steps to identify the risk from the machinery and apply effective control measures.
