Fatal Crush Injuries in the Workplace

A civil engineering company has been fined £75,000 and ordered to pay £24,482.80 in costs after committing safety breaches that saw a father of three suffer fatal crush injuries. A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation resulted in RMB Contractors Limited pleading guilty at Sheffield Crown Court to breaching section 2(1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
