Company fined £8,000 after failing to prevent amputation injury to worker

industrial-safety-1492103_640An engineering company has been fined £8,000 and ordered to pay full costs of £3781.04 after a worker lost his leg on 16 November 2016 when he was hit by a forklift truck. A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation found the work had not been correctly planned, assessed or carried out in a safe manner.
