Company fined £160,000 after employee falls two storeys through roof and suffers serious injury

construction-worker-956495_640Wessexmoor Ltd has been found guilty following an investigation by the Health and Safety Executive and fined £160,000 with costs of £7,580.85 after an employee sustained injuries by falling through two storeys onto a concrete floor in London. Wessexmoor failed to implement safety measures to ensure the roof work was done safely. The worker suffered internal bleeding to his brain and a broken left leg, after falling from the roof which had no edge protection or guardrails in place to prevent falls from height.
