A young woman who has had her dreams of becoming a model dashed after being scarred in a nightclub attack has received injury compensation for the incident.
Laura Tindall had been modelling for six months before her 17-year-old attacker hit her with a bottle at Trilogy in Doncaster, the Star reports.
She was left with a disfiguring scar between her eyes, forcing her to give up her career and badly affecting her confidence.
Ms Tindall was awarded GBP 1,500 in injury compensation at Doncaster Crown Court, while her assailant will also be forced to carry out 150 hours of community service.
"She left me with a scar right between my eyes so that’s the reason I can’t do it any more," she told the paper.
"But I am pleased to hear she will have to pay me compensation, at least I’ve got something from her."
It follows reports that Jessica Knight, the schoolgirl who suffered a horrific knife attack in Chorley, has received GBP 18,895 in injury compensation.
