Bus driver suffers whiplash injury in crash

A bus driver in County Durham suffered a whiplash injury recently after his vehicle collided with a wall.

It is thought that the single-decker Arriva bus skidded on a patch of ice and crashed between Eggleston and Romaldkirk just before the turn-off for Eggleston Bridge, the Northern Echo reports.

The incident took place at around about 10.15 GMT yesterday morning (December 5th).

Police and paramedics attended the scene but luckily there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.

The driver was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital to receive treatment for his whiplash injury.

Earlier this week, police on the Isle of Wight appealed for information after a man sustained a whiplash injury in a car accident.

The Isle of Wight County Press reported that the incident took place at around 13:30 GMT on December 15th on the main road from Upper Ventnor towards Wroxall. ADNFCR-2070-ID-800327894-ADNFCR
