A female motorist has been awarded a seven-figure car accident compensation sum following a road crash which left her with disabilities, Newsquest reports.
Bruna Long suffered a severe stroke following the crash, which took place in 2004, leaving her with reduced powers of speech and comprehension.
An inquest into the accident found the other driver, Darren Puljic, who was killed in the crash, may have been speeding and had spun on to the other side of the road prior to the collision.
Liability for the crash was not disputed in the court hearing, and Mr Puljic’s insurer Norwich Union was ordered to pay a seven-figure injury compensation sum to assist 62-year-old Mrs Long’s husband in taking care of her.
It is the latest large car accident compensation payout since the Andover Advertiser reported that a widow launched a £300,000 claim after her husband was killed in a road smash last year.
