A 17-year-old boy is in line to receive GBP 1,500 after suffering a broken jaw in a violent attack.
The victim became involved in an altercation with Royal Marine boxer Matthew Armstrong as he walked along the street in Helensburgh, the Lennox Herald reports.
He was punched in the face and then kicked while unconscious on the ground, before being taken to the Southern General Hospital where he was operated on and two metal plates were put in his lower jaw.
Armstrong was sentenced to 160 hours of community services on top of a GBP 1,500 injury compensation bill to his teenage victim.
It follows reports in the Northampton Chronical and Echo that a protective father who launched an assault on a man he suspected of bullying his son has been ordered to pay GBP 1,000 in compensation to his victim, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in the attack.
