A cyclist is seeking injury compensation from Devon County Council after he hit a pothole and fell off his bike.
Luke Reeman required extensive surgery and had a metal plate put in his arm after the accident, the Express and Echo reports.
The 28-year-old fears his arm will never fully recover to the level it was before the incident.
He told the newspaper that he kept seeing the pothole when he cycled to and from work and thought that the council would fill it in.
"But they never got round to it. I feel upset and angry that I have been left with an injury which will be with me for the rest of my life," he added.
Mr Reeman has sought the services of an injury solicitor to pursue his compensation claim.
Last month, the Argus reported that a cyclist was hoping to claim more than GBP 300,000 in injury compensation after she was hit by a car.
The accident left Tara Butterfill permanently disabled and forced her to give up her job as a revenue and customs officer.
