Emmerdale star pays compensation for assault

A former Emmerdale actor has escaped jail but was ordered to pay £1,000 in injury compensation following an assault on a teenage victim.

Luke Tittensor, aged 19, was involved in the unprovoked attack which began when he threw an empty drinks carton at the victim from a car.

The car initially drove off, but later returned so that Mr Tittensor could get out to punch and kick the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Following the assault, Mr Tittensor’s 17-year-old victim required corrective surgery and had metal plates inserted in his jaw.

As well as having to pay £1,000 in injury compensation, Luke Tittensor has had his contract with Emmerdale terminated, will have to work 200 hours unpaid and also pay £1,100 in costs.

It follows reports that former Hull FC signing Stuart Reardon was forced to pay £150 in compensation following an assault on his wife.ADNFCR-2070-ID-19148821-ADNFCR
