A father whose sons were hurt in the recent crash on Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Big Dipper ride has vowed to sue for injury compensation.
Zahid Hafez, 45, was watching his children from the ground when the incident occurred last month, the Manchester Evening News reports.
His sons, Zain and Sohaib, both suffered bruising to their knees when the ride’s second car collided with the first and were taken to hospital after being rescued by firefighters.
Mr Zahid said that the owners of the Pleasure Beach have not been in touch since the accident, leading him to consider taking legal action for injury compensation.
"I was so worried for my sons and my wife, who fainted," he told the paper.
"Fortunately they were not too badly injured, but they are young children and this should not have happened."
The Big Dipper in Blackpool was built in 1923 by prolific rollercoaster designer John Miller.
