Rapper and actor Goldie has begun an injury compensation claim totalling GBP 300,000 after a water-skiing accident in Surrey left him with a broken leg.
Goldie real name Clifford Price was training ahead of an appearance on Channel 4 show The Games 4 in 2006 when his foot became tangled in the tow rope handle.
As well as suffering a fracture to his femur, the James Bond actor was forced to quit filming while he recovered.
He has now filed an injury compensation claim against three separate organisations for their part in his accident programme maker Endemol, the British Waterski Foundation and a local sports company.
It follows recent reports by the BBC that another high-profile injury claim for a broken leg, that of former Manchester United player Ben Collett, is being disputed by the club’s lawyers who believe he should not be entitled to the full amount of GBP 4.3 million.
