Hampshire teenager fighting for life after motorbike crash

A teenager is fighting for his life in hospital after his moped was involved in a crash with a motorbike in Hampshire.

The 16-year-old’s vehicle collided with a Honda 1300cc motorbike near the A32 in Wickham on Wednesday evening around 7.45pm.

According to the Southern Daily Echo, he was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital by paramedics where he is currently in a critical condition.

The rider of the motorbike also suffered potentially life threatening injuries in the incident, and is currently being treated at the Southampton General Hospital. He is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

Investigators closed the road at its junction with Bridge Street and Fareham Road until 1.20am on Thursday morning in order to examine the scene.

The incident came on the same day a woman was killed on the M3 in Hampshire when her Honda Jazz collided with a Volkswagen Golf at Basingstoke.
