Injury compensation guaranteed to snowmobile accident woman

A Denton woman has won the right to claim millions in injury compensation at the High Court after she was left wheelchair-bound in a snowmobile accident.

Fitness instructor Emma Moore, 41, crashed her snowmobile at the Italian resort of Passo Tonale after being unable to operate the brakes on the vehicle, the Northampton Chronicle reports.

The vehicle overturned, throwing Ms Moore from it and causing a spinal injury that left her paralysed from the waist down.

Mr Justice Owen guaranteed massive injury compensation after ruling that Italian businessman Adriano Tantera, the organiser of the excursion, was 70 per cent responsible for the accident.

"I do not consider that Mrs Moore can be absolved from some measure of responsibility; but in apportioning liability the balance is heavily weighted against Mr Tantera," the newspaper reports him as saying.

It follows news that hundreds of holidaymakers are seeking injury compensation from First Choice over alleged "holidays from hell" in the Dominican Republic that left them with gastroenteritis.ADNFCR-2070-ID-19629473-ADNFCR
