A man from Paignton is seeking injury compensation after he was almost killed in a car accident.
Dave Hurrell was buying a snack at the Carew Shell filling station in South Brent on his way home from a concert when the incident occurred, the Herald Express reports.
A silver Corsa driven by a 21-year-old woman suddenly smashed through the shop front and ploughed through display shelves.
Mr Hurrell told the paper: "I don’t remember hearing any noises.
"One minute I was standing there, then I just turned around to my right and saw these lights coming towards me. It happened so quickly."
Fortunately he escaped with only minor injuries, but he is currently investigating whether he is entitled to injury compensation for the incident.
The news follows reports that a man has been awarded GBP 3.3 million after a stolen van driven by a banned driver crashed into his car in Lanarkshire.
