Sovex Ltd has been fined £17,000, and ordered to pay £24,000 in costs, after an engineer suffered an injury when his arm was pulled into machinery while he was working to install a new conveyor belt system. A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation found the company failed to have in place effective guarding and isolation procedures on the machinery.
