A builder has been landed with a GBP 1,000 injury compensation bill after assaulting two of his friends outside a nightclub in Market Harborough.
James Rutland, 25, had apparently been pestering people on the dance floor before blocking the path of one of the men at the top of a stairwell, the Leicester Mercury reports.
The two men were talking outside the pub when Mr Rutland his one of them in the face, bruising his cheekbone, before headbutting the other, causing him to fall to the ground with blood running from his mouth.
As well as being placed on a six-month curfew and being ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work, Mr Rutland has been ordered to pay GBP 1,000 in injury compensation to the man he headbutted.
It follows reports in the Western Telegraph that a man has been ordered to pay GBP 1,000 in injury compensation after assaulting a customer in a Naberth pub.
