Pete Burns claims GBP 450K injury compensation cash

Bungled plastic surgery has led 1980s pop star Pete Burns to claim GBP 450,000 in injury compensation following a legal case.

The Dead or Alive star, who in recent years appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother, was awarded the injury compensation cash in an out-of-court settlement after claiming his cosmetic surgery ruined "his career and life".

He suffered an adverse reaction to injections of lip filler, resulting in swelling, blisters and discharge and claims he has had more than 100 operations to save his lips.

"It has taken away my life and my career," commented Burns.

"I saw doctors in London who said the only option was to amputate my lips. I was suicidal."

The news comes soon after it emerged that the plastic surgeon blamed for the death of Colin Hendry’s late wife has some 52 complaints against him, as well as investigations by authorities in Britain and Sweden.ADNFCR-2070-ID-19349330-ADNFCR
