A friend of Prince Harry is seeking injury compensation after shattering his thigh in a car crash, it has been revealed.
Jay Jones, 21, who is a teammate of Harry’s at the Hurtwood Park Polo Club in Surrey, is suing driver Peter Woods for GBP 300,000, who he claims failed to notice a bend in the road before swerving into a tree in 2004, the Daily Mirror reports.
His father, rock star Kenney Jones, thought that his son was dead after he was found in the road under a blanket.
The injury meant that doctors had to put a rod in Mr Jones’ leg, ruining his dreams of becoming an international polo player as he was forced to miss training as a result of the incident.
Kenney Jones, himself a passionate fan of polo, is best-known as the former drummer for the Small Faces and as Keith Moon’s replacement in The Who.
