A Surrey man has launched an injury compensation claim for more than GBP 300,000 after a crash allegedly caused by a drunken driver in 2006 left him with a damaged back.
David Frost was driving on Balcombe Road in Crawley when his Ford Fiesta was involved in a head-on collision with Scott Warren’s Volkswagen Caddy, Get Surrey reports.
He suffered head injuries, four fractured vertebrae and a severely fractured hand and thighs, which required extensive hospital treatment including ten operations.
Mr Frost’s writ stated that he has been unable to work since the accident and continues to suffer pain and discomfort some three years after it.
It also claims that Mr Warren was driving under the influence of alcohol and on the wrong side of the road.
The news follows reports in the Norwich Evening News that a 25-year-old woman who lost part of her leg in a crash is awaiting the outcome of a car accident compensation claim.
