A Scarborough woman is determined to fight for injury compensation after a bicycle accident left her husband fighting for his life.
Lucy Marshall is appealing for information after her husband Brian fell after riding over a loose cable on waste ground behind Weaponness car park, the Scarborough Evening News reports.
He landed face down on the tarmac, fracturing every bone in his face, and required a total of six months of treatment in hospital.
Mr Marshall cannot recall the incident and his wife hopes somebody local might have witnessed it so the couple can put forward a case for injury compensation in September.
She told the paper: "We’re appealing for anyone who lives in the area who may have seen something.
"Also, if anybody else has had an accident in that area and reported it, we would have a case."
Cyclists in Carlisle recently staged a demonstration over the region’s inadequate cycle lanes.
