Our client was riding his bicycle along a designated exit lane from a Supermarket. The defendant driving his car in the opposite carriageway drove into our client when he suddenly made a right turn.
As a result of the collision our client suffered injury and loss.

What Hayward Baker did to help
We ran our client’s claim via the online insurers portal and received a partial decision on liability as the defendant insurers were alleging that our client should be held 50% responsible for the accident. This meant that if we get a medical report from an expert to prove our client’s injuries then he would receive 50% of any damages awarded. However, we fought our client’s case and as agreement could not be reached we issued Court Proceedings so a judge could decide who was at fault.
Although Court proceedings were issued the case did not go to Trial as the defendant insurers eventually agreed to accept an offer made by us in settlement of our clients claim.
We negotiated a settlement figure of £5000.00 for our client which included a small sum for travelling expenses to and from medical appointments.
