A motorcyclist who was hurt in a car crash is seeking GBP 250,000 in injury compensation.
Electrician Richard Tait, 62, suffered serious injuries to his left shoulder, hip, groin and hamstring in the incident in 2006, the Echo News reports.
He has been unable to return to his job since the crash and is unlikely to be able to work again, as he needs to be able to lift and work above head height.
Mr Tait believes the driver of the car, Olumuyiwa Ogunyode, was responsible for the accident as he failed to heed the motorcycle or indicate, as well as driving into a lane of traffic when it was unsafe to do so.
He has now launched an injury compensation claim against Mr Ogunyode, which could be worth up to GBP 250,000.
It follows reports in the Lancashire Evening Post that a traffic officer hit by a drunken lorry driver is seeking injury compensation for the incident.
